Circular route | kleine Burgrunde
Nürburg
On the trail of history - It starts in the parking lot of the castle ruins of Nürburg. The restaurant "zur Nürburg" is almost circled once and after a short climb you are on the small castle circuit. Along the route you can see the remains of the ski slope, which used to be very popular in the winter months. The view through the trees shows the town of Quiddelbach. It continues at the elevated tank to the former ski jump facility. It was the venue for national ski jumping competitions in the 1950s and 1960s. The still existing referee tower is a reminder of these glorious times.
Downhill, past beautiful flower meadows, it goes back to the town of Nürburg. If you look to the left, you can see the Aremberg in the distance next to the beautiful Eifel landscape. Through the Burgstraße it goes back to the starting point. After the walk, the restaurant "zur Nürburg" invites you to linger.
