The tour starts at the “Dr.-Creutz-Platz”  in Adenau. After approx. 2 km via the Kirchberg, you reach the highest point of the tour, the “De-Lassaulx-Hütte”, which is 445 m above sea level. The route continues along a section of the historic Way of the Cross. The route continues through the picturesque Kollengasse to the historic market square with its colorful half-timbered houses before returning to the starting point past the guild fountain. The route can also be walked in the opposite direction, starting at the historic market square, through Kollengasse via Kreuzweg.

The route is signposted throughout with the name of the path.

The namesake of the route, Clemens de Lassaulx, as district head forester in Adenau in the 19th century. contributed significantly to today's productive forest area around Adenau through an extensive and sustainable reforestation program with pine and spruce.
